This year has been super crazy for me! I recently finished out my sophomore year of college and with it has come a lot of nuance, I feel like I really stepped outside of my comfort zone and learned so much about myself! This year I was accepted into the Disney College Program! While it was super hard to get to Florida in such little time it was a whirlwind of excitement. I am sure to never forget this experience as I grow older. I made so many amazing friends and got to work at an amazing location. I lived super far from home and I feel like it allowed me to learn about what I want to do when I get older and graduate from college! I feel like one skill that I really honed in on was personal growth and understanding what I want out of life. I realized that Disney is great and it would be super cool to work there in the entertainment industry but it is not the be all end all of my life and there are plenty of other opportunities to go after and pursue. I am really looking heavily into the film industry and would love to travel internationally! I think my next goal is going to be a study abroad trip. I want to learn more about other countries and cultures and then apply it to filmmaking. While I won't be directing anything I think it would be a great way to learn about others and apply social norms in rehearsals and film shootings! I also think this would enhance my experience if I do ever decide to go back to Disney and could travel to Disneyland Paris. I think this overall would be an amazing next experience to have because of how diverse it is. I have started looking into different summer programs since CCM keeps me busy throughout the year and I have show assignments. On top of that I am thinking of taking a second language if I can. Another experience I am thinking of trying to get on my portfolio is a French opera that I am going to be working on during October and November. I think this would be a great immersive experience to put on a portfolio because I would be able to showcase my abilities in my professional life. I am going to be the assistant stage manager for this show and I am super excited for it. Overall, it has been a year for growth for sure and I am super excited for what comes next!
