This year brought many surprises. To start off. I finished my internship program in the Disney College Program and started my summer RA training. I started out the year very busy as I transitioned into being a UHP Ambassador and I had a lot of goals set for myself. I wanted to grow this year and to figure out what I wanted to do. I ran for a council position in my sorority and started working extra hard at my two jobs and extra activities at school and all of my hard work finally started paying off. I decided that it was time for me to go abroad and settled on a USAC program in Verona. I am studying Event Management and International Marketing currently at IUSVE in Verona. I made so many decisions this year and it was truly a year where I got to figure myself out before my senior year. On top of that I was able to learn so many skills in my leadership position. I decided to do the UHP Roundtable and I truly think it was an amazing experience because I was able to learn new skills and teach others my own skills. I feel like I had so much growth over the past year and started asking people questions even if I think the result will not be what I planned it to be. I did not know it would be possible to study abroad but a year later I am in Italy and even received scholarships and grants to travel. After so much hard works and asking questions to try and get results I have finally received a result that has made me happy. It is not always easy to ask hard questions but I took time and effort into studying abroad and got this to count towards my capstone in conjunction with my show assignment. Everyone in my program ended up getting assignments earlier. I got the huge donor event and am super elated to be a part of the experience. I will be running a lot of moving parts of this event and it was amazing to be able to get my assignment early and plan my schedule around it. I was also able to learn a lot about time management this year. Between UHP, sorority, my two jobs, and CCM I had to get creative in how I do things and had to remain disciplined even if it was difficult or not ideal. My next goal moving forward is to try and get a position within my sorority, Kappa Delta. I would like to be a Leadership Development Consultant. This opportunity would be great for me especially considering my leadership background within my sorority and in general. I cannot wait to see what next year brings me and am hoping to learn as much for my last year of college
